Haiti ministry Update

Alpha and Omega Ministry and DuParc Farm Ministry, under the leadership of Purposeful Pathways, are busy preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and serving their communities. The heart-breaking situation in Haiti has not been able, by Grace, to take our focus from doing the good work God is allowing in spite of the situation.

The good work takes the involvement of supporters in prayer and donations. I encourage all supporters not to lose heart with the work (2 Corinthians 4:16-18), but to encourage yourself daily not to be overcome (John 16:33). Rejoice with us that God has protected the ministries, allowing the work to continue! Pray with us that God protects His Word and work, especially Pastor Ernst and Pastor Anuel, and all the school and farm staff under their leadership. And of course, Donate as you are able and feel led.

Alpha & Omega MINISTRY

The Alpha and Omega church started in 2015 with the worship of 5 people under a mango tree and has grown to 300+ regular members. Evangelistic efforts with like-minded regional churches visit unchurched areas of remaining voodoo stronghold, and following the making of disciples, send rotating pastors in regular, preaching/teaching visits. The goal is to plant churches in these areas. The trips are dangerous, and physically and spiritually taxing, requiring long hikes off a main road, with the ability to meet and withstand resistance in many forms, including demon possession.

Infants and Adults

The Alpha and Omega school ministry started in 2016 with 60 students in grade K3, K2, and K1 and has grown to 280+ in K3-8th grade in the 2023/24 school year. In addition to regular curricular training, the school practices Biblical integration and training in the trades. The church maintains the school as a way to train disadvantaged young people toward personal independence and Christ-centered service, but also to evangelize among the student’s families.

While the church and school remain active in these perilous times, they have experienced a steep rise in illness and death due to water borne illnesses. As a result, the church has been unable to maintain the formal level of evangelistic efforts, and the school community is suffering from 30-40% absenteeism. A deep well could be drilled on the church property to service the church, school and broader community with free, clean water. The project cost is $40,000.00.

DUPARC FARM MINISTRY

The church on the farm has grown to 150 regular attenders, provides daily academic training to 30+ students unable to attend school and also hosts the Children of Light program of up to 210 children weekly. Recently, a widow with 3 children, whose husband had been gang murdered, and she in dangerously poor health, was nursed to health and assisted to start a business. In the meantime, the church provided her with a rented room to house her family. The church is always helping someone, whether within the church, or in the surrounding community of neighbors, all of whom are dealing with traumas and catastrophe's equally grievous to the one I've described. In addition, the church provides day labor opportunities on the farm to 5-7 people per day. For those that cannot work, farm produce is gifted and food packets are distributed. Enjoy these photos, an example of the very good things God is doing as He protects His Word and Work. Enjoy the video of recent blessings!

Thank you!

Thanks for all the ways you support the ministries by Haitians, for Haitians. Please continue with us in prayer, and consider how and if you can invest financially. In spite of all the challenge and chaos in Haiti, God is permitting us to shine the Light of Christ in what is one of the devils most active playgrounds.
